Above anything else, central florida’s shelter pups deserve a soft place to land!

Forever homes are definitely the best happy ending, but the magic sweet spot in between the cold shelter floor and “home sweet home” are our fosters.

These amazing people make it possible for us to not only acclimate pups to new environments, but most importantly: offer shelter dogs the belly rubs, snugs, proper diets, and care necessary for them to become part of someone’s family.

Without available foster homes, the dogs must remain in Central Florida’s animal shelters and euthanasia lists.

Being a Noodles Animal Refuge foster literally makes you a lifesaver.

What does it take to be a noodles animal refuge foster?

If you’re reading this, chances are pretty good that you already have the main requirement:—a big ol’ heart.

But here are some of the other features we look for when selecting new fosters for Noodles:

  • Completed Application (just scroll down!) and interview to determine your preferred size, type, and breed of dog, as well as a Home Check

  • Preference is given to residents of Volusia, Seminole, and East Lake County, Florida

  • Homes that currently have no more than two dogs already, and do not have any cats

Once you are selected as an approved foster, Noodles Animal Refuge provides ALL of the vetting expenses, and in some cases will provide food as well, so you can concentrate on puppy kisses, long walks, and plenty of cuddles.

Our fosters are our lifeblood. As a smaller kill shelter rescue, we tend to work with more limited rescues than larger programs—the most important of which are our fosters!

Our fosters are the only means we have for rescuing Central Florida’s most deserving of shelter dogs.

Become the best part of the greatest little rescue central florida offers!
