The underdog’s best friend: central florida’s foster-based dog rescue and hospice
Since 2017, Noodles Animal Refuge + Hospice has been Central Florida’s trusted foster-based dog rescue. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we partner exclusively with kill shelters, saving medium to large-breed rescue dogs, providing them with the care they need prior to adoption.
Cue that one song (you know the one) and some puppy dog eyes…
Every year, thousands of shelter dogs across Florida end up on euthanasia lists.—due to no fault of their own. The sad truth is the amount of resources and available space for shelters are impossibly low given the sheer number of animals they attempt to support.
Noodles is on a mission to seek out dogs in these particular circumstances, offering them emotional and physical rehabilitation in experienced environments, while working to secure their forever home.
What Noodles is not…
Not all animal rescues are created equal (but hey, no shade—we’re all here for the critters, and that’s what matters!). However, at Noodles, we’re a little different, and that suits us well.
No Owner Surrenders: Instead, we focus on identifying and pulling dogs directly from Central Florida shelters with whom we’ve built strong relationships. Our mission is to save pups that are running out of time or unlikely to be adopted out in more traditional shelter settings.
Big Dogs On Campus: Despite our quirky name (shoutout to the OG ferret), we specialize in rescuing (typically) medium and large-breed dogs. We do not offer services for cats, feathered friends, or any other type of animal. Our focus is a large part of our success.
No Pup Left Behind: We’re here solely for the underdogs and the overlooked; the ones who need us most across Central Florida’s overcrowded shelters. Puppies are stinking cute and we adore their sweet breath just as much as the next person, But Noodles is here for the distinct and distinguished dogs; the ones most deserving of that soft place to land.
Noodles does what Noodles knows best: fostering, adoption, & hospice services for shelter dogs deserving that second chance at their one great life!
